About

Johanna M Bolton is an author/illustrator who writes science fiction, mystery novels, and best selling music books. She has also written textbooks including the GED books for Barron’s Educational Series, fanzines, and features for newspapers. Bolton studied fine art, music, biology, history, tai chi, karate; and has taught classes in pre-school, high school, & college. All of this, she says is because her father once told her not to tell him what she was going to do, but to show him what she had done. She now lives in the woods with a pack of dogs. “When I’m not painting, writing, or feeding someone,” she said, “I play the mountain dulcimer and the fiddle. But, as always, everything in my life is subject to change at any time and without notice.”

  1. By the way, I’m looking for someone to show me some ropes regarding fiddle! I’m teaching myself mandolin and banjo. I play by ear, and after learning a few (very few) rudimentals, I write tunes. Play guitar already, some piano, harmonica, blah, blah, blah. No virtuoso! Interested in providing a lesson or two?
