New Drawing

I decided to nurse my cough while Mo was off in Oklahoma and veg out in front of the TV … which is boring unless I have something else to do at the same time.  So I decided to do a drawing. I haven’t done anything intricate in a while and it’s always fun to see if I can still render. I wasn’t happy with the paper; I could use some hot pressed sheets, which would give me a much smoother surface to work on. And  I could have used a couple other colors, but the Prismacolor Verithin pencils are pretty limited. Their wax pencils have a much more extensive palette, but I like the hard sharp points of the Verithins for detailed drawing such as this one.

The drawing is 11×14, colored pencil, and the title is “Summer.” It took something like 12 hours to complete.
